Recovery after using antibiotics in dogs

    One thing to be careful of are the side effects of antibiotics as they destroy good bacteria as well, leading to decreased immunity and potential for allowing yeast infections to develop, as just one example.
    Probiotics on their own are really not that effective - medical studies using marked bacteria have shown that they just pass right through the body and get excreted during the following bowel movement. These are some good things to use to help the body recover after antibiotics. There's good literature on each one of these and how they help rebuild the immune system.
